Fortuneswell, Portland
I always find the architecture on Portland so interesting especially at Fortuneswell. Buildings of locally quarried stone cling to the cliffs and one really senses that this place has a really interesting and turbulent past.
On this particular day the weather was in the high 80s and the sea sparkled like a diamond. The normally dark roofs of the buildings reflected the sun like mirrors with only the shadows on the walls, chimneys stacks and road giving the scene form.
